& Multichannel

Direct sales is a channel that brings together company and final consumer through independent operators, without the need of physical stores. Historically attached to female emancipation and developed by companies which associated their names to this channel, direct sales has been experiencing two equally important realities: (i) its adoption as part of the diversification strategy of businesses that traditionally explored other channels, and (ii) the search by direct selling companies for new distribution channels for its products and services.

Multichannel, in its turn, is a relevant XXIst century trend. Being there for the client wherever he/she is and making your product or service reach him/her through the means the client wishes became not only a differentiation but also a survivorship factor for many businesses. Making the many sales channels interact among them is what transforms multichannel into omnichannel.
